Busy September!

Typically September can be one of the slower months in our calendar. Summer weddings, family holidays and the kids getting  back to school can all make diaries overloaded. We usually take some time out at this time of year to check stock, make improvements and plan the run up to Christmas. However, this year has been different.

We’ve been busy working on a number of exciting projects, including kitchens, bedrooms and utility rooms across Northern Ireland. Just last week we fitted this stunning kitchen.

Ivory and oak remains one of our most popular kitchens and this project is a great example! It won’t be long until this kitchen is photographed and published as part of our showroom. In fact, our photographer will be with us at the end of this month to build up the project portfolio. We will keep you updated on any new additions.

As written about in our previous blog post, we’re now energetic users of Pinterest and have been busy ‘pinning’ some great ideas. Whether you are on the market for a new kitchen, or just looking for ideas to spruce up your own, we highly recommend this. Don’t forget to follow our account!

What is Pinterest?

Pinterest is a photo sharing website used to collate interesting subjects from across the internet. It is a great tool for generating and sharing ideas for your home improvement project. We are starting to use this for sharing ideas with our clients so please have a look:

Why is it useful?

We like simplicity here at GCB Kitchens. Every time we log on, there is a collection of new photographs for inspiration. We 'pin' those that we like in order to share with you. Simple.

We have created various boards in order to categorise different styles to make it easier for you to carry out research for home improvement projects. We do this because we understand the fuss involved when making significant investments. And we do it because we like it.

For those small spaces, here is a kitchen that deceives. White expands the space to give the perception that the room is much larger. The doors are simple but elegant. The extra storage on the wall provides a feature that is slimline but useful. These are just some of the design features of this kitchen but there are many more. How often do your guests get confused when they search through your cupboards for a glass? This painted dresser uses heavy duty drawer runners and beautiful veneer to give a robust but neat solution. We really like it.
